First Congregational UCC Church of Milton

Guidelines for Church Worship during Covid-19 Pandemic

Please stay home if you don’t feel well.

Please stay home if you don’t feel comfortable coming to church.

We will still broadcast on Facebook Live.

Before Worship:

Doors will be unlocked at 9:45 AM for entrance.

The front door (High Street) will remain locked. Only enter from the back door (parking lot).

An usher will be present to open the door for you so that you don’t have to touch it.

Masks or face coverings are required. The ushers will have paper masks available.

Boxes of offering envelopes will be available for you to take home and prepare ahead of time.

There will be wipes and hand sanitizer for your use in the hallway and sanctuary.

Please observe social distancing for the consideration of the group.

The handicap lift will be available for use if needed. Ushers will assist in it’s use.

The narthex and fellowship area will not be available.

There will not be fellowship, no treats or coffee offered, before or after the service.

During Worship:

There will be no books or bibles in the pews.

There will be printed bulletins that you can take home and throw away.

There will be an offering basket inside the sanctuary.

We won’t pass the offering plates during the service.

Please avoid bringing food and drink to the services.

Restroom use is discouraged but use your best judgment.

Jane will be playing the organ, and Pastor Dave will include the hymn lyrics in the bulletin.

We will not be singing.

After Worship:

Take your bulletin home to throw away.

Plan to leave the building without loitering.

Ushers will be holding the door open.

Please respect social distance when leaving the sanctuary.

We plan to meet every week in the sanctuary going forward from April 4, but the deacons will make monthly evaluations based on recommendations from Rock County Health Department. If numbers begin to spike, we will suspend in-person worship again.
